Everyone has or will encounter bullying or getting there feelings hurt. Both Sharon G.Flake  in his book “The Skin I’m In” and Kesha and her son “praying” explains human emotions to show how difficult it is to get over pain. Maleeka always gets bullied because she is dark. In Praying the speaker wants to move on from a painful relationship. In both texts, we learn that dealing with pain is hard but moving on will make you stronger.

A common theme in both text is everyone will get hurt one time in their life. In “The Skin I’m In”, People call Maleeka different name like Coco beans. In the story “praying”, Kesha got in a relationship and she got abused by her boyfriend .  The similar things are both main character’s are girls. Both girls want to move on. Maleeka wants to make more friends and Kesha wants to forget her ex-boyfriend. Both texts deal with negative relationships

That’s the difference between the two stories, one talks about a girl getting bullied and the other one talks about a girl getting abused by her boyfriend. Both tests have differences, for example Maleeka gets bullied by multiple people and Kesha doesn’t get bullied by multiple people. In “The skin I’m In” there is one person that is getting bullied. In contrast, Kesha gets treated bad by her boyfriend.  This shows that sometimes you are going to get hurt.

In both “the Skin I’m in” and “praying” Sharon G.Flake and Kesha articulate with importance of getting bullied and moving on. After reading both the story and the song, readers might notice the pain a person can have . Sometimes people are going to hurt no  matter what happens.

Sharon G.Flake/ Realistic Fiction story The Skin IM IN takes place at McClinton Middle School – A school where a girl name Maleeka gets bullied because of her skin. The main conflict of the story is Maleeka always gets bullied by her classmates. Sometimes Maleeka’s classmates give her nicknames for example black bean. One lesson the story suggests is don’t bully others.

From the very beginning, the description and details in the story show how Maleeka’s classmates keep bullying her. Maleeka’s classmates keep bullying her because of her skin. Maleeka didn’t have any cloth but she has good grades. “Don’t let that fancy name fool you”. The quote explains that the student don’t like Maleeka. Maleeka hates John because he always has something to say to Maleeka. “Maleeka is dark” john said when Maleeka came in the class late. That line explains every time John sees Maleeka he makes fun of her.

By the middle of the story the reader begins to realize that Maleeka Slowly is making new friends. Char is one of Maleeka’s first friends. “your my girl Maleeka”. That explains that char is Maleeka’s friend and Char cares about girl. Maleeka got bullied and she got in a fight . “Maleeka your suspended.” Maleeka got in a fight with a Daphone Robinson. Daphone came up to Maleeka and she thought Maleeka kissed her boyfriend and after that they got in a fight. Maleeka gets depressed because she had to stay after and do chores.
Some people bully because there mean and others bully because they feel like it. That is a good point because, the people who bully Maleeka are bullying her because they are mean. This shows that the people who bully are bullying because they want to and that they are mean.

At the end of the story Maleeka got sexual harassed by two boys while going home. One of the boys said “you my kind of women” and Maleeka tried to walk away but the other boy got front of Maleeka. After that a man cross the street said “leave the young lady alone. Maleeka started running home. When she got home she went up to her room and started crying. Maleeka and couple of her friends set a classroom and Maleeka was the only one that got caught. The next day Maleeka got called to the office and she got expelled. Maleeka said “forgive me god”, and her mom was really mad at her. Some people just like to bully other people.

Imagine being in the track field with championship. Blackhawk middle school cross country players did it. They won the championship did it by defeating Lakeside middle school. Kobe Mildge had first place for boys and Jaiden Eastom first place for girls.

Blackhawk went to the football championship and they won. Dominic Moon had 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. He was the MVP of the game. Dominic also plays basketball and baseball. Dominic says ” Blackhawk is the best middle school in the state of Indiana. Carter Wortman is also a football player and he is a QB and he gave two passes to Dominic.
Blackhawk’s basketball team has the MVP of the year Jermain woods. Jermain woods averaged 20.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg. Jermain and the BMS basketball team worked hard and won the championship.

Blackhawk soccer is really good. They have Mahdi Saleh, he scored a free kick goa against a Lakeside middle school in the final game. Mahdi said ” scoring the goal that let BMS win is a really big thing for him”. Blackhawk is the best at sports in the whole state of Indiana, so you should go to Blackhawk middle school.

Blackhawk middle school has the most middle school championships. Blackhawk has one cc 3 years in a row now. Kobe Mildge has broken the Blackhawk record with 10:26 in 1.9 miles. Kobe Says “IM really proud to beat the record. Jaiden eastom is the fastest girl IN BMS she was undefeated last year. Jaiden’s fastest time is 11:10.

Blackhawk middle school gym class is one of the best gym classes in FWCS. BMS does basically most of the sports. There are competitive and noncompetitive, competitive is for the people that know the sport and noncompetitive is for armatures.

Flag football
BMS does flag football first and a lot of people like to play it. In flag football you can’t tackle , you have to pull the persons flag for a down. Blackhawk does everything safe. One of the former BMS student Leo Messi said “BMS has the best gym class. Leo loved BMS GYM class because every sports they played it was fun.

Soccer
Soccer is really fun for BMS student. Most people call it soccer in America but BMS calls it Futbol. Soccer has one of the most competitive people at BMS.

The book is about a girl name  Maleeka that gets bullied because she is dark.

I like Maleeka because she didn’t really care what the kids said and she stood up for herself would compare the

running dream with this book because both books are realistic fiction.

I would recommend this book to a friend because that book teaches you how to be a good friend to someone else

The last book I read is The Running Dream. I liked that book because the book is about running and I like to run.

What I chose from the library is a soccer book. I chose the soccer book because I’m a soccer player. I think its going to be about a boy who is really good at soccer.
